Instructors now have real teeth when it comes to managing who's in a session and what they can do.

• Remove Users: Session Management now includes a Remove button for every connected user. Press it, confirm the prompt, and that person is disconnected from the session entirely — no more waiting for them to leave on their own or settling for demoting them to Viewer when they shouldn't be in the session at all.

• Dedicated Controller Access Link: The Session Management page now displays a separate controller-join link, complete with its own code, distinct from the regular viewer link or session ID. Only staff you deliberately share this link with can ever join as a Controller — everyone else joining through the normal session ID or QR code lands as a Viewer, with no way to escalate their own access.

Session Owner Protection

The instructor who originally created a session is now permanently protected from being removed or demoted by any other controller in that session.

• Locked Role: Even if you've promoted several colleagues to Controller for a multi-instructor scenario, none of them can lock you out or knock you down to Viewer.

• Clear Feedback: The Remove and Demote buttons are automatically disabled for the owner, with a tooltip explaining why.

Viewers No Longer Reach the Controller Screen

A gap let viewers land on the Control Vitals screen even though every visible link to it was already hidden for them.

• Direct URL / Bookmark Blocked: Viewers are now redirected to the Display Monitor the instant the controller page would have loaded, whether they typed the URL or opened an old bookmark.

• No Flash of Controls: A synchronous guard at the very top of the page prevents even a brief flash of the controller UI before the redirect fires, so there's no visual leak of controls a viewer shouldn't see, even for a split second.
